Today is the start of week 13. A debate of wether I am out of the first trimester now or in 6 days. Books have conflicting information as well as people do... So I go with second trimester because it sounds better LOL
Jason and I talked about names last night. We are already decided on the first names. I wasn't even going to question giving the baby his last name, but I was surprised when he said he would rather the baby have the last name Kaiser. So (unless something changes) Kaiser it will be. Audrey Jean Kaiser or Luke William Kaiser.
We are starting to worry a bit about the cost of daycare... I am hoping I can find someone to watch the baby. My options are limited though... I am sure everything will work out - it always does. It just stinks that everything costs so much money!

Weekend in PIB

I love Put in Bay. We had such a great time. We got a really nice cliff side campsite with a view of the lake. I got to enjoy all my favorite dinner spots. We saw a pirate battle on Lake Erie (Argh! Pirate Fest weekend!) We sailed the islands on the Brig Nigara. We visited the Butterfly House. We did the normal Put in Bay tourist stuff. LOL I just really like it there. The weather was beautiful. We did not have to deal the the night crowds because we had the lovely campsite. It was a great weekend. The pic is us enjoying the sun and view in DiRiveria Park.

Dr appt today and unexpected ultrasound
So I went to my first real Dr apt today. She told me my blood work is all good and she did not need to do anything else because I just had my yearly in March. She wanted to hear the heartbeat, but no such luck. So she sent me to get an ultrasound right away. But within minutes of beginning the u/s she gets the heartbeat. She tells me 167 beats per minute!!! YAY!!! Now I am relaxing and enjoying seeing my baby. She says I have never seen a baby this young on 3d so lets try it. Of course I say ok :) The baby was stubborn though and kept turning so no face views, but it (I keep wanting to call it she lol) is very strong and feel wiggly. I saw it sucking its precious thumb!!! My baby os so beautiful I love it already. She says it is moving so strong and often I may be feeling it soon. I asked her if the "bubbles" I feel could be it and she says the way it moves definitely!

Another Day
Tomorrow is another Dr. apt. Do I count it as my 1st? I suppose. Last week I only saw the nurse who took history and sent me for bloodwork. I have no idea what to expect lol. Feeling pretty good these last few days. I am not as tired.
Jason and I are headed to Put in Bay Friday morning for the weekend!. I love it there. I am sure it will be a great time.
Other than that just working and waiting for the next "pregnancy milestone" but I dont want to wish the summer away too fast. Can you believe its almost JULY already!

Week 12
Today is the first day of week 12. Today is when most people start telling people. Oops I was early LOL. Today is when the symptoms should start fading. 8 weeks from today I will find out boy or girl.
We are 90% sure on names. We sort of finalized it when we were fishing on Sunday. If it is a boy the name will be Luke William. If it is a girl Audrey Jean. I picked out Luke and Jason picked out Audrey. We agreed. Well he like Natalie and Natalya too but I like Audrey better than either of those...

Great weekend and more stuff

I had a great weekend this week. Went to the kids birthday party. Adrianna turned 3 and Joey 5. It was a fun time. I got to tell some more people I was pregnant and that is always fun!
Sunday we went fishing - maybe fed the fish is a better term - HAHA it was fun though spent over 4 hours at Moraine. We had some trouble with the line since this is the first time fishing in over 10 years. We plan on going more often to get better at it. I say we but really Jason fishes and I watch and tie knots LOL
Jason's mom bought us a GIANT 284 pack of size 1 diapers! WOW That was very nice - diapers are not cheap. She also went shopping and got us a few cute baby outfits :) Baby stuff is fun!

One father is more than a hundred schoolmasters. (To Jason)
“One father is more than a hundred schoolmasters.” - An English ProverbJason has said over and over, "Now we have to learn to be teachers." He is right and I know he will be a great teacher. How do I know this? It is a well know fact that I am a questioner. I have never grown out of the "Why?" question. Jason never gets frustrated no matter how many times I say why (and that is quite often). He is not afraid to say, I don't know, but I will find out. I like when people tell me they don't know (if they don't) instead of making up something. Obviously I don't know since I am the one who asked "Why?" Another reason why I know he will make a great teacher is that he is always learning. He is always reading something or looking something up just so he will have answers. Jason is going to be a great teacher, and better than that he is going to be a great father. I know many of you do not know him well, and it takes some time to get to know him. But he is a wonderful man.
Jason, you will make an excellent father! I know your child will think of you as the best dad in the WHOLE world! I love you and our baby will too!

The Duck Pants

Aimee got our baby DUCK PANTS! Ok I dont know why that is so funny really but she was excited to give me the cute duck pants and I like them alot. Jason liked the duck pants too and we always talk about the duck pants. Every time we see a rubber duck he says Oh these will go with the duck pants. We were looking at little duck hats and blankets the other day and thought about the duck pants! Anyway I like the duck pants they are cute!
I got other cute gifts also but I will blog about them one at a time to keep this blog going. I have quite a wait until January :)
And I added a ticker to the bottom of this page. Its pretty cool!

One, Two, Three
First, this was not our plan and definitely not our timing, but there is a life growing inside of me and I AM HAPPY! We are happy and our families are happy. This is a welcome child!
Second. Yes we know how this happens. We know how to prevent it from happening. God is bigger than all of that. Enough said.
Third, off my rant, and happy note - Jason bought baby bunny a bunny! LOL Isn't it cute!!!

Tomorrow's Blog... Duck Pants!!!! LOL Thanks Aimee!!!

Nothing to say really LOL
Well next Friday is my first Dr's apt. I have no idea how long that will be or what to expect... I feel like baby shopping today lol I can't buy anything yet but I do want to. I was looking for something with a bunny on it yesterday. I thought that would be appropriate, but I couldn't find anything I liked. Oh well I was in shopping mode. I am going to wait until August after I find out boy/girl to do any shopping. Sometime this summer I may hit up some yard sales to see if there is anything I need, but honestly, I have no idea what I actually need. I really do not want a houseful of baby stuff that is not necessary. I may look for one of those vibrating bouncers, babies like those. Who knows!

Shopping today
So I had to break down and buy a pair of maternity pants today. As most of you know I was doing well with my diet and exercise so in April I got rid of all my big clothes and bought smaller clothes that fit but were a bit snug. Well the snugness has turned into lots of uncomfort most days. So I broke down and bought a pair of pants. LOL I will now be able to enjoy elastic waists for a while!!! HAHA as Jason says elastic is Hawt :-p
And don't I wish I will look like this girl below, but I dont think I will get to have a pretty round pregnant belly - I never made it to skinny enough before I started! Oh well...

Week 10
So I am 10 weeks pregnant. I guess I told everyone early but whatever - enjoy it right :) I am starting to feel less tired. It feels more real to me now. After hearing the baby's heart beat I am less scared. I love my little ultrasound picture LOL and I am excited for the date in August when I will get to see bunny again. Girl or Boy??? We are hoping for a girl, but you know the norm - either will be good. Holly thinks I am going to have a girl. Yolanda thinks I am going to have a boy. I think I am going to have a ...BABY LOL I have no idea. I already got a few nice cards and presents. Holly got me a St. Patrick's Day outfit for the baby. Aimee got me a cute duck outfit. I pulled out my old baby blankets so I can wash them. Jason's mom is searching yardsales... I have a feeling I won't have to buy too much for this baby (unless you count diapers lol) which is good considering its going to take every extra penny I earn to pay for day care! I cannot believe how expensive daycare is and average cost is $800 per month!! Thats more than my apartment... Geez thats about the cost of jason's apartment and car combined...
So anyway, anyone need a job babysitting starting in January LOL but I wont be paying $800 a month ;)

What's in a name?
Have you noticed my blog address? thatsmybabybunny.blogspot
Why do we call the baby our bunny?
Well Jason tells me I need to eat right for the baby. He said I needed to eat the rabbit food to help it grow. So one day when I was having a salad and veggies and dip I sent him a picture message that said "feeding our bunny" and it stuck. So he always tells me to eat my carrots to feed the bunny. And he tells me wait til Bunny starts hopping around.
So, that is why we call our baby our bunny!

So it begins
The beginning of a blog and the beginning of a new journey. It actually began a couple months ago LOL, but skip the details and fast forward 9 weeks and here we are.
I found out I was pregnant May 7, 2009. I had a suspision for a couple weeks, but could not truly believe it (mostly because I was on birth control). One day while I was at work the smell of a tootsie pop made me gag. My boss jokingly said maybe you're pregnant! I laughed it off, but went that day and bought a test. The next morning I had to be at work at 6AM so I woke up at 4:30 and took the test...
That was a Thursday. I wanted confirmation from a Dr. because I did not believe it. I could not get a hold of the dr. all day. Of course me being google queen LOL searched false positives. There were many many websites that claimed equate +/- tests gave false postives. GREAT!!! So I went out and bought another test....
Ok so another positive but the same sites say never use a blue dye test... OK I give up I will just wait for the Dr...
So the Dr. calles me at 2:30pm says I can go in for bloodwork, but I would have to come back Saturday to do the second test. I knew I couldn't make it back in Saturday so I opted to take the test Friday and Monday. What a wait, I am impatient as it is and I had to wait 2 days for the results. Wednesday came and no call so I called the office. Do you think they could find my paperwork... NO of course not. Well one more day and they call me and say you are definitely pregnant. They told me to schedule my first ultrasound. I scheduled it for the next day. I assumed I would be around 6 weeks. I went in and had the ultrasound. They could see no embryo and said I only measure 4.5 weeks. It did not make sense to me because I knew the dates, but I went with it. They said there was nothing to worry about, but I worried anyway. They scheduled me for an ultrasound 3 weeks later. That was Friday June 5, 2009. I went in Friday expecting to be 7.5 weeks and I found out good news...
I measured 9.5 weeks (perfect to the dates) Baby has a good heartbeat and everything is 100% normal! Hearing the Baby's heartbeat was the most amazing sound ever.
