First time Mom's Club?? LOL

Well it turns out she was stuck in my pelvis facing my back. They manipulated her out and she was kicking like a champ again! I really hope she doesnt try to come out breech again.

It wasn't so bad. The nurse was so funny. I asked her if I was officially in the first time moms club for coming to the hospital early :) She laughed. We had a good time. I was there about an hour. I got all my registration done and answered all those questions. Then I got my anethesia consult so I won't have to go back for it next week.

This girl is definitely going to be a trouble maker LOL

What a weekend! LOL

It was a nice long weekend. I needed a break from work! Thanksgiving went well. I went to visit my dad. It was a 3 hour round trip... Now I know why they say limit your travel! My back was killing me by the time I got home.
Friday I wasnt planning on going shopping. There was only one thing I wanted and it was online. So I woke up Friday to try to get it and BAM the computer had a VIRUS!!! DOH by the time we got it working the item was sold out. By 10AM I was bored and decided to venture out. I went to Walmart and surprisingly it was not that busy. I didn't uy anything there. Then I went to the mall and got myself a robe for the hospital. I got a $36 robe for $14! YAY Black Friday deals. I got a few other Christmas presents and another good deal at borders. I got $10 off a $15 book. Then I went back home and cooked another Thanksgiving dinner. This time with enough food so we would have leftovers for a few days.
Saturday was my first baby shower! It was fun (Pics will be posted later) I got some cute stuff and had a good time with my friends. When I get the pictures from my friend Aimee I will post more info.
Sunday made me VERY happy. My dad came over and put together the crib. And I finally got to put together the crib and a few decorations in her room. I have been waiting so long to do that. Now its no room out of a magazine, but I like it. It is special to me.

Now the room insnt near finished, but I still dont know where I will be living. I have shelves to hang on the walls. I have a raggedy ann & andy curtain set. I have outlet and light switch covers. I have wall stickers. And I have pictures to hang, but its a start. The big raggedy ann & andy were my moms when she was a teenager. The bear in the corner was the first stuffed animal Jason gave me. The purple teddy bear was my first teddy bear (that I remember) and The Lemon Meringue doll was something I saved from when I was a kid. The raggedy ann on the dresser was given to me by a neighbor when I was young. I really like the fact I saved some of my favorite things to give to my daughter even if they aren't modern and picture perfect.

I love the Raggedy Ann stuff I got. I added a few things to the crib (and yes I know she cant sleep in there with all that stuff LOL) The white bunny in the corner is from my mom. The blue doll is Baby Bobby. My favorite doll from when I was young. And I put the "build-a-bear" bunny that her dad and I made her. It was fun and I love that I feel like I have a space for her now.

Finally!! I feel rested today

I slept so wonderfully last night. You know I have been sleeping poorly when a good nights sleep makes Blog subject number 1! I was not uncomfortable at all and did not wake up once from 10pm til 4:30 AM It felt nice to sleep - FINALLY!!!

Thanksgiving is tomorrow. I will be going to my dad's. I actually don't know if I will have time to blog tomorrow. This will be a busy weekend. I took Friday off! Hooray for long weekends. Saturday is my baby shower and Sunday my dad is coming over to finally put the crib together. I am excited to see what my Raggedy ann stuff looks like on the bed. I will try to update this weekend. Especially after the baby shower :)

34 weeks!

Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

Wow time is flying! I am getting so excited!

Rest and Relaxation

Thats what this weekend was! It was so nice to be able to be at home and rest. I am starting to get really sore by the end of the day and my poor feet swell up terribly. So it was nice to relax and not feel so miserable by 8PM. We really did not do much this weekend at all. I scrapbooked on Saturday and Sunday and almost finshed all of my pictures. I got about 40 pages done. Feels good. I cooked Thanksgiving dinner for the two of us. That was nice except for the part that is heated up Jason's apartment to like 300 degrees for the day. I had the wondows open and fans on and was still burning up! But it was good.

And I discovered..... I have a baby in my belly!!! LOL She was kicking so hard on Saturday night, but like always when I called Jason over to look she stopped. So I said here I will see if I can make her kick and I was pushing on my belly. Now I have pushed on my belly a million times and sometimes I feel a little lump or something that may be the baby, but I was was pushing I GASPED!! Jason thought something was wrong. No I said I just felt our baby! It was so weird to me to feel a whole baby in my belly. And to feel her move when I pushed on her!
Ok so I know its not that interesting, but it was the first time I with my hands felt my baby in my belly and it was really cool!

It's Friday! And I am ready for the weekend

YAY just a few more hours and the weekend starts. I am ready to relax! Audrey is beating me up today - so much that a few kicks have made me jump!! (I like it though!!!) I am getting excited for my baby showers coming up. I am wondering when Audrey will be here. Will she come early in December, will she come on time in the first week of January, or will she be a stinker and come late??? Well if she is anything like her dad I will be blogging until the middle of January LOL (love you Jason ;P) Guess I will have to wait and see :)

Why are you tired?

Ok I am grumpy today LOL I have an extremely busy day at work today and I slept like 3 hours last night and I am caving to the pregnancy hormones and embracing the grumpiness LOL

If I get asked one more time today why are you tired and why cant you sleep I think I'm going to scream ;P (Thank goodness for emoticons LOL cause I am really not that mad just irratated)

Other than that not much going on. I am always annoyed on Thursdays because of one thing - payday! The paychecks come into work Th morning about 9am although payday is not until friday. All morning I get people coming into my office wanting thier check. And when its like the 7th time sorting through 250 paychecks I tend to get annoyed...

Anyway its almost the weekend and I will be better after lunch cause I'm hungry too

Why do Dr's annoy me so much?

Okay sorry if any of you are Dr's, but I am so totally over going to the Dr so much. UGH and I have like 6 appt more to go! They cant keep thier information straight, I get a different due date now every time I go. They aren't even pleasant. I refused the H1N1 vaccine yesterday and the Dr told me - well if you get H1N1 you are probably going to die! Ya ok so I am destined for death now. Oh my - next time midwife maybe... if there is a next time LOL

On another note, I got a breast pump today (Medela Freestyle). Yes I know you are SO excited to know that LOL Jason's mother actually gave me the money to buy it! That was so nice of her. They are expensive!!! I got a good deal though. It only cost me nearly $300... When did only and $300 belong in the same sentence... GULP
I am really hoping I will have no problems...

33 weeks!

I've been waiting for pineapple week!!!! LOL Why? Just cause I love pineapples ;P

This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. She's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and her skeleton is hardening. The bones in her skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for her to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.

Countdown Halfway

So I started my countdown at 100 days... Now there are 50 days! Wow!!!

I had a nice weekend. Friday night I went over to my friend Aimee's house and spent some time with her. It was nice. Then Saturday we were busy. Jason's mom gave us a highchair - the one I wanted YAY :) I put it together. I love it!

Then we went and got a crib mattress I found on Craigslist. We also went to the Christmas Market in Harmony. I forgot my camera! It was a nice time though. And Saturday night we saw 2012! That was a good movie. Even though it was 3 hours long almost I would watch it again.
Sunday was our tour of the hospital... Um ya I think I dont like the hospital I am going to... they have the DUMBEST rules ever!
#1 Dads cannot stay the night
#2 Babies cannot room in
#3 No pictures or video of the birth (not that I wanted that)
Oh an lots of other weird things... Oh well only a couple days right. Next time (ok Jason hypothetically next time lol) I would definitely go somewhere else.

Silent gratitude isn't much use to anyone

"I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought; and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder." - G.K. Chesterton

Everyone is talking about how thankful they are... A few blogs I read had posts like "grati-tuesday" and "Thankful Thursday". Thanksgiving is the time of year when people reflect on what they are thankful for. So maybe it "put me in the mood" to express my feelings. I have been thankful since the moment I found out I was pregnant, but somehow what I feel is needing to be expressed...

As I sit here with my hand on my belly feeling the little movements of my baby girl, I cannot believe this is actually happening. As I look through my "what to expect when you're expecting" book, I never dreamed I would actually be carrying a baby. I have said it before, but I must reiterate - I truly NEVER thought I would have a child. The reasons behind that will remain untold, but it was my real belief that I never would. And somehow, even though I believed that, I never lost hope.
So the gratitude, the joy, the appreciation I feel is so great! Two little words "Thank you" cannot express the depth of what I feel. In this sense thank you is like I love you. How can a little phrase even try to communicate what we feel? We just have to hope and believe those who we are saying thank you and I love you too just know what we mean.

Another January Baby & lots of new stuff

Well another mom due in January had her baby last night. 5lbs and some, but he still has to be in the NICU. I am thankful every day I am still pregnant. So as long as Audrey needs to stay in there I am fine with that.

On another note, Jason's mom gave us TONS of baby clothes over the weekend. I got them all organized and sorted. I took a picture of a couple of my favorite things.

There is alot of other stuff I like but some of it is bigger and I already put it away.
I never imagined I would be able to fill my house with baby stuff, Its nice! I am getting really excited for my baby showers coming up.

I also bought a flip camera on ebay real cheap yesterday. I know my regular camera takes videos, but I figured I would be more apt to upload them using the flip. Its not always an easy process getting a video off a camera to youtube. So when Audrey is born I will be able to post videos for you all! Especially those of you who can't be around to see her often.

Lastly, the week is half over and I am already excited about this weekend. Friday night I get to go see Aimee and Yolanda. I haven't seen them in WEEKS. I used to spend every weekend with Yo and it has been 6 weeks since I have seen her. Jason and I are going to a festival in Harmony and we are going to see the movie we have been waiting for. 2012. And on Sunday we are going to Sewickley to preregister and take a tour of the hospital. I am kind of excited to see what it is going to be like! So hopefully I will have lots of updates for you on Monday. (Dont worry I will post tomorrow too as promised Mon-Thur)

32 weeks

By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.

I can really tell the difference now between when she is sleeping and when she is awake. It was strange last night seeing (er.. feeling lol) the patterns. Usually I am busy after work, but with Jason working nights this week and me being lazy - I laid on the couch for about 2 hours. I felt her stop moving and fall asleep and then I felt her wake up again. It was pretty cool. Gizmo, my cat, laid on my belly last night and Audrey was kicking her. They were small kicks like when she kicks the doppler, but it was funny cause Giz kept doing her annoyed meow and looking at me like I was the one poking her!

Only 8 weeks left until "D-Day"

Weekend recap

This weekend was a fun one! Friday night we went to the Hofbrauhaus in Pittsburgh with my mom, Jim, his mother, and my grandpa from FL. It was a good time. Jason really liked it. Here is my mom and Jim from Friday night

On Saturday we went back into Pittsburgh to see the Nina & Pinta. Columbus's ships were there. That was pretty cool. Jason and I like doing things like that. It was a beautiful day so we enjoyed our time there.

On the way home Jason took me to Lucianno's Pizza which is a pizza place in McCandelless we have been wanting to try. It was good. In fact I saved some for my lunch today BUT FORGOT IT!!!!! LOL
Yesterday we just relaxed and enjoyed our Sunday together (Only 8 more!) I cooked breakfast and dinner.
Audrey was being a stinker. All week at work she moves around so much, but on the weekends when I am with her dad she stays still no matter what I do to try to get her to move she won't! Poor Jason guess he'll have to wait until January to play with his daughter! :)

A busy month

I like busy. I like doing things. I like things to look forward to. I think November is looking like a busy months so far. I may possibly have plans this weekend. I have a party to go to next week and I may possibly get together with my girlfriends next weekend. Thanksgiving is coming up pretty fast and I have a baby shower this month. I also have another Dr appt in 2 weeks so time will really start flying now. I am still enjoying pregnancy. I am not tired of it. Though I wish she were going to be born in December, I won't even mind going over my due date. First of all I want her to be healthy, second of all I know life will change SO much when she is born I am enjoying my free schedule right now. I am enjoying my time with jason. I am enjoying relaxing while I eat dinner. So I am happy and when she comes - she somes.

I cant do that... I'm pregnant!

OH my it is so funny and nice LOL We went to Sams Club and bought stuff to make a ham dinner for over 200 employees... Usually Bob has me load the car, load the car, and carry it all in the building. Well, today I had to make him do it all. I said I can move that - I'm pregnant. (Which is true by the way - I did carry some little things) But he wanted me to move huge boxes full of buns and boxes having 50lbs. worth of ham in them. Now I know I can carry some things, but no way am I carrying over 150 lbs of ham so there

31 weeks and "Seriously?!"

This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. She weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. She can turn her head from side to side, and her arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. She's probably moving a lot, too!

And in the words of Yolanda, "Seriously?!" So I had my Dr appt today. A new Dr as always. He says well Congrats on being 30 weeks - only 10 left to go. I said 30 I thought I was 31. He says no your due date is Jan 12... I said I have been told the last 30 weeks my due date is Jan 5. He says Oh let me see... Then he says well they have Jan 5 written as your first due date and Jan 12 as your second... Both of these are crossed out. Then he looks at my ultrasounds and says ok we can go with Jan 5 if you want.

Come on now what am I actually paying them for???

Now its November?!

Only 2 months left until I see my baby! WOW its hard to believe. I was talking to Jason yesterday about how fast time will go. Sunday morning is our time together with no phone calls, no company coming, no where to rush too... and I told him that with only 9 weeks until my due date we may only have 9 Sunday mornings for the two of us! 9 is not that many. We were talking about the baby and as excited as I am for her to be here, I really dont want to rush it. Jason and I have only been together a little more than a year. I am still enjoying the "me & him" time. I know we will have time together after the baby comes, but now its all about us. We can do what we want when we want with no one else to consider. So Audrey will be here soon, but I am going to enjoy my last weeks in full without wishing time away.

On another note. It only took 31 weeks LOL but I am finally feeling those constant baby kicks. Will it stay that way? I have no idea. I hope so, but I really dont know. I can feel them all over now. It is really weitd because I feel kicks way up high close next to my ribs. It makes me think - Wow thats a big baby in my belly! And she has 2 more months to keep growing!!
