My experiment

Audrey last week started waking up at 2am every day to eat. She also eats about every hour and a half to 2 hours in the evening 6oz each time. I decided I wanted to try cereal to see if that would keep her full enough to sleep through the night again. I know alot of people dont feed thier babies until 6months and it is not recommended by pediatricians until 4 months HOWEVER Audrey is almost 4 months and she has all the signs she is ready for food:
Loss of tongue-thrust reflex- Check she likes eating off the spoon

Ability to let you know she is full from a "meal" with signs such as turning away from the bottle or breast. - Check (see video for proof LOL)

Ability to sit up and hold head up unassisted - check well she doesnt sit up unassisted but she can sit in her high chair alone and she only needs little support on her hips when sitting on the floor

Interest in your food - check again see the video she dives towards the spoon

Doubling of birth weight - check 8lbs at birth close to 17 now

Frequently waking in the middle of the night when a solid sleeping pattern had been established - double check was sleeping 8pm - 5am (and even then I woke her to get ready for daycare) Then it shortened to waking at 4 am now she wakes every night at 2am to eat and wakes again at 5am to eat

But even with cereal she still woke up last night. I only fed her a few bites until she got distracted by the cat and the camera. so tonight I will try a few more.

Oh yes and my "mom brain" moment at 30 seconds LOL
